Content: Basic Training for the role as designated marksman focused on weapon handling and accurate long range shooting. The training will last around 2 hours, depending on how fast we can finish the exercises.
Reading Homework: mandatory: - rules of gun safety - Squad Designated Marksman, US Army FM 3-21.8, Chapter 1, Section III - 1-85 to 1-89 - external ballistics: Forces acting on the projectile, Small arms external ballistics, Bullet drop and bullet path, Bullet drop, Bullet path, External factors - Range estimation (fm 3-21.75, Part Two, Chapter 9, PDF page 164)
optional: - Rifleman’s rule - mil-dots vs MOA - cant errors in long range shooting
