Topic:
Testing tactics against human opponents

Date and Time:
Friday 22.2. 18:30 UTC

Classification:
- full members are welcome
- allies and RCs can join aswell, but they will probably be in the suspects team most of the time
- other players can contact me if they want to join

Organizer:
Raptor

Requirements to join:
- SAS Mod
- TS3
- AST Custom Map Pack

Server:
AST|SAS-Mod Server

Content:
The basic idea is to use the Barricaded Suspect mode (without respawn) to
replace the usual AI suspects with human players. The Swat team will
start outside with the task to clear the building, i.e. arrest or
neutralize all suspects. The suspects will start inside with some time
to spread out, thus having the advantage of a barricaded position.
Note that this is not meant to be a fair team-deathmatch! We want to test
our tactics against human opponents in realistic Swat deployments.
Therefore the suspects will usually be outnumbered. Moreover they’ll
face serious equipment restrictions. I'll work out different scenarios
for different maps and post more details later.
The training will be open end.

Participants:
Raptor
Booone
Jay
Gex
Herb
TheIceMan
Kozak

Tell me how this goes. It's always interesting to how theory works against a real brain.

Feel free to join us wink

So far just 3 players have time, this way we can only test basic stuff. Anyone else in?

I have already worked out some rules:
Swat:
- follow EL orders and RoE
- no eq restriction (note: smoke nades are available)
- try to clear the area

Suspects:
- default eq restriction: no Light Helmet, no Gasmask (i.e. no protection against nades)
- no use of tactical equipment except the ammo pouch (no nades, no wedges, etc.)
- no use of bsg or c2
- no use of the multi-tool except for picking locks (don’t remove wedges)
- you are not allowed to cuff officers
- follow orders given in the briefing
- as long as you follow the rules above, you are free to do whatever you want to

Compliance:
- Suspects may equip their handcuffs in order to holster their weapons,
this way they are no immediate threat for the officers and can surrender
(I wouldn’t try this in the middle of a fire-fight, but it’s up to
you...)
- a Suspect still may change his mind at any time and make a stand
