Yeah, the trigger stuff, i can handle it, also some commands (addweapon for example), but for the briefing you need to create some files like init or others things. I found stuff in french, but it's hard to understand it.

I found this: http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=13109

it explain the basics stuff and briefing, but it still hard to understand it.

This tutorials look nice at first sight: http://www.tacticalgamer.com/arma-mi....se.html

Btw I'm thinking about to run an arma2 dedicated server on my root machine, but not sure though if the hardware ressource are enough.

you mean a AST arma 2? it will be nice.

I'm still trying to understand briefing stuff with some info i found and the tuto you post above. I do some progress. it could be nice to do our own mission mixed between CQB operation and classical war operations. evenigh SWAT is way better for the CQB Arma could be use aswell.

Then get original versions...

Or mb there is a way to crack the server also, so that it ignores CD key stuff. For sure I won't run hamachi or similar VPN software at my root server for security reasons.

CQB operation

Actually moving in buildings is imho pretty difficult in arma. I get stuck at every single corner or door, and sometimes just in the middle of an empty hallway... Are there any mods to improve this?

And how do you place units within buildings in the editor?

Yeah it's pretty hard to walk inside the buildings in arma 2, because it was made to play most of the time outdoor at the inverse of SWAT. I think there is no mods to correct that.

You place your unit inside the bulding you want and in the init field you put this: This setPos [getPos This select 0, getPos This select 1, x]

Then you just have to replace the "x" by the height (in meters). the bad thing is you allways need to try a height then press preview to see where the guy is. if you put 10 he will fall from 10 meters to the roof. if you put 1 he will be in first floor.

I will check on armaholic, long time ago i found a script who put automatically peoples (civil or ennemies) inside buildings.
