Our beloved commander Herbplant suggested a game, which is probably the best ww2 game out there. Its essentially based on stealth gameplay and has the feel of realism. You can complete the campaign in coop mode. So whats not to like.

Hidden and Dangerous 2 is a first and third person tactical
shooter that builds upon the tremendous success of its predecessor.
With its unique blend of action, strategy and tactics, Hidden and Dangerous 2
will test gamers' commanding skills, with more than 20 complex missions
over nine different campaigns. Individual operations take place in locations
throughout the world, from the lush jungles of Burma to the harsh deserts
of Africa. Hidden and Dangerous 2 will feature multiplayer modes including
Cooperative and Deathmatch play, with the option to play as Axis forces.
----------------------------------------
Expansion disk for Gathering's hit WWII PC title. Sabre Squadron
features nine new single-player campaign missions in four new locations
plus the added ability to play all of these nine missions cooperatively
over the Internet. In addition, Sabre Squadron features three new deathmatches,
three new occupations and two new objective multiplayer missions for up to 32
players, enhanced, more realistic AI, and new weapons such as the German Panzershreck,
SAS flare gun, German G43 rifle and the PAK40 cannon. Released in 2003, the original
game put gamers in command of a squad of elite British Special Air Service (SAS)
commandos as they tackle the most dangerous WWII covert missions. Featuring a mix
of first- and third-person action, H&D2 offers a deep, tactical squad-based shooter
experience in the single-player campaign and extensive multiplayer modes that feature
numerous WWII-era weapons and vehicular combat.

Me and Herblant are having a blast playing this game. The only thing we need is a private server, so no noobs and rambos could spoil the fun... That and of course more AST members to join.

Ideal team would be:

2 assaulters with smg's and grenades. To clear buildings and rooms.
1 medic. to treat all wounded team members
1 explosives guy. To carry all types of explosives.
1 anti-tank guy. To deal with enemy tanks.
1 sniper. For long range engagement.
1 support. To carry extra ammo, extra equipment as well as cameras, beacons, barbed wire cutters.

So, 7 men crew would be ideal.

Are non-AST members welcomed? smile
If so I could probably get the game and fill one of the available slots in the team. smile

Of course, mate, get the hell in :D... And tell your friends to join. Goal is to achieve full tactical teamplay. Would be nice if someone could find out how to host a server...

Since there is no site is the whole huge internet which list the correct ports you need to host this game, here you go: "ports 11001-11004, 27900-28900, 12000-12001, 1202, 11008, UDP & TCP"

There are still a lot of connection troubles with this port, so maybe some are still missing.

Good games today biggrin , after hours of work to get a private server running with correct config...

2 tactical issues I would like to mention:
- we should elect an element leader and make a briefing like in every other game (was pretty often missing today, well mb because of the connection trouble stuff...)
- I noticed again a lack of communication; when something went wrong today it was mostly due to a back or even completely missing communication; we still didn't finshed our basic coms in the tactics section, and I think combat in open area requires even some more and other coms than CQB

This spammer actually gave me an idea. How about trying to play hidden and dangerous again? Who would like this?

@Aras: Hmm, maybe. I still have the game.

@Luis: don't know where you get this habbit from, but please stop to quote the whole previous post. It's completely unnecessary because everyone assums that you reply refers to the last post, if not stated otherwise. And it makes the thread hard to read.
