Content:
Basic Training for the role as designated marksman focused on weapon handling and accurate long range shooting.
The training will last around 2 hours, depending on how fast we can finish the exercises.

Reading Homework:
mandatory:
- rules of gun safety
- Squad Designated Marksman, US Army FM 3-21.8, Chapter 1, Section III - 1-85 to 1-89
- external ballistics: Forces acting on the projectile, Small arms external ballistics, Bullet drop and bullet path, Bullet drop, Bullet path, External factors
- Range estimation (fm 3-21.75, Part Two, Chapter 9, PDF page 164)

optional:
- Rifleman’s rule
- mil-dots vs MOA
- cant errors in long range shooting

(Observers only watch, listen and maybe ask questions, but they do not participate actively in the training or do anything else at the map during the training.)

PS: If you guys don't mind we can also practice with some heavy MGs. I skipped that previously in the MG session.
